Through the S.C. Department of Social Services (DSS), employers who hire Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) participants may qualify for tax credits.

SC Works centers and DEW offices and will be closed Monday, February 16, 2026, in recognition of the Presidents Day holiday. Centers and offices will reopen Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Unemployment claimants may experience delays in payments depending on their bank's holiday schedule.
